“…pure randomness.”

Last Friday was my ‘Get appointments taken care of’ Day.  I went to the dentist and had my pearly whites cleaned.  I may be the only person in the world that LOVES going to the dentist.  Leaving the dentist with your teeth so clean and smooth is quite possibly the best feeling in the world.  Judge me if you want but I get complements on my teeth all the time because I take care of them to the extreme.  People always ask if I whiten them or how I get them so white…fun fact: Flossing does wonders.  You should try it sometime.

I don’t whiten my teeth.  I have used the Crest Whitestrips in the past but I haven’t used them in over 2 years.  Even my dentist asked me how I whiten my teeth.  I swear it’s the flossing that does it.  That and drinking colored drinks (teas, cokes, etc.) through straws so the liquid passes your teeth.

After my dentist appointment I went home to catch up on Grey’s Anatomy since we had a volleyball game Thursday (which we won and went undefeated for the season and start play-offs this Thursday) then headed to the salon to get my hair cut.  A lot of my friends say I am high maintenance because I get my nails done when really I just trade the money I would spend on cutting/dying/highlighting my hair for doing my nails.  I am too lazy, not to mention “thrifty”, to highlight or dye my hair because I know I would never keep up with it like a should.  The last time I had my hair cut before Friday was in September…of 2011.  Can you imagine how bad my roots would look if I put some color in my hair last September?  Exactly why I don’t do it.  Anyways, I bought a Groupon for $45 (I actually paid $35 because I had a $10 off promo from Groupon) which was for a cut, style, and express Keratin treatment in Conroe.  The Keratin treatment basically calms down the frizziness (which I have a lot of).  Usually I must have about 6 inches cut off my hair to remove the dead ends because I wait so long between cuts but since he did the Keratin treatment on me, it fixed the issue so he only had to chop off about 3.5-4 inches!

I know you may be asking yourself, “How did you get so brave to change your hairstyle so dramatically?!”  And I know that you would have a sarcastic sense of humor if you were asking yourself that question.  I don’t tend to branch out very far when getting my hair cut so it is usually hard to even notice that I actually cut it…so why would I cut it every 6-8 weeks and spend that kind of money when it’s unnecessary?  My point exactly.  I have a widow’s peak that is similar to Minnie Mouse with cowlicks on both sides of it that prevent me from having bangs, side bangs, or most of the time even a side part so really, what are my options on venturing out?  Not many…at least not many that I would care to attempt.  I’ll stick to having my nails done and my plain hair. Kthanks.

Speaking of hair, I saw the creepiest thing I have seen in a while…keep in mind it was just Halloween so there have been plenty of creepy things around lately.

Yes, that is an abduction-style utility van with the words, “Touched By A Hairdresser” painted on it, along with a picture of the creepiest man I have ever seen.  He probably wouldn’t be as creepy if he was staring at me like that and if his van didn’t have that specific saying on it.  Does this freak anyone else out besides me?

On the topic of creepy men…

I encounter many strange individuals on my commute to and from work.  Usually on the bus I find people odd but hardly ever creepy…that was until I saw this man:

Creeper Alert!

On occasion, the buses are full once they get to my stop because I am one of the last ones so we have to stand the 45 minute ride home which is what happened in this case.  I was standing and this man, along with a young woman, loaded onto the bus.  The bus drivers are terrible and love to slam on their brakes for no apparent reason so normal people hold on both sides of the aisles with both hands.  This man was not normal.  He stood right next to this poor woman, facing her, with his junk in her face.  He was messing with his phone and apparently can’t do that one-handed so he put both hands on one side to hold his phone…obviously if he is playing on his phone he isn’t holding on properly so on numerous occasions he lost balance and fell on the woman equaling hitting her in the shoulder/face with his man business.  Sick.  This woman was OBVIOUSLY uncomfortable.  She kept looking up at him and sighing loudly and re-positioning herself to be as far away from him as possible but he adjusted to her adjustments (as you can see in the picture on the right).  It really made me wonder if he was doing it on purpose or if he was just oblivious to his surroundings.  It takes a lot to make me feel uncomfortable and I almost said something to this man because he was making ME feel icky even though his junk wasn’t near me. Gross!

Okay, I don’t know about everyone else but I am still pumped up from the Aggie game this weekend!  So in honor of that, here is a fun article about Johnny Manziel in the race for the Heisman.

I hope everyone is having a Happy Tuesday!
