College Football Shake-ups!

19 Nov

Saturday was a CrAzY day in College Football!

There was a definite shake up in the BCS rankings this weekend as the world of College Football was turned upside down!  SO exciting!

The Baylor Bears, who by the way are NOT ranked, completely spanked Kansas State (#1) 52-24!!  This is the second week in a row that a Texas team has taken down the #1 team!!

Collin Klein threw 3 interceptions!  Just goes to show you how over-rated Klein is for the run for the Heisman Trophy!  There is no reason that Johnny Manziel shouldn’t win the Heisman.

Maybe it’s the SI curse…

Stanford (#13) also beat Oregon (#2) in Over Time after Oregon’s kicker missed the field goal by the ball bouncing off the uprights, then Stanford’s kicker making his field goal!

Also, my Aggies beat Sam Houston State University 47-28!

This win was the 9th of the year for Texas A&M, giving Head Coach Kevin Sumlin the most winningest debut season in Aggie History!

Also, A&M scored a touchdown on their opening drive, which is the 8th straight game to do that for the Aggies this season.

Let’s not forget to mention another record that was achieved:  Johnny Manziel (aka Johnny Football, JFF, Johnny Heismanziel, etc.) became the first SEC player (ever), first freshmen (ever) and 5th NCAA FBS player to have 1,000 rushing yards and 3,000 passing yards in a single season!

See more fun facts about Saturday’s Aggie game here.

So after all of this craziness, here are the current BCS Standings:

I am a little upset that Stanford passed us but they did just beat Oregon and went into OT with Notre Dame (#1) earlier this season…

This weekend was seriously the perfect storm for Alabama to have the chance to go to the BCS Championship after we knocked them from #1 last week!  –and perfect for Johnny Heismanziel to be the front-runner for the Heisman!

It was definitely two of the most exciting weeks I’ve seen in College Football!  If you missed it, sucks to be you, but at least your blood pressure probably isn’t as high as the rest of us!

I can’t wait to see what kind of crazy things will happen next weekend!
