Canton in Conroe

4 Dec

This past weekend was Canton in Conroe.  It is put on by Wilkinson Elementary each year.  This was the 4th Annual Canton in Conroe.  It basically is just like Canton except on a much smaller scale.  For those of you that have never been to Canton – seriously?  You’ve never been to Canton? What’s wrong with you? – it is a big craft fair where vendors set up booths to sell items like glassware, wood carvings, home decor, wreaths and other holiday decorations, jewelry, clothes, bags, food, and CAKE BALLS!

This was the 2nd year that Cake Balls Egg-Cetera participated in Canton in Conroe.  I helped Mom last year and we actually had a blast doing it!  Both of us love Canton so it was fun to make money, as well as spend it, at a craft fair.

We worked all week and by “we” I mean Mom made all of the cake balls and I made the flyers, painted signs, and tied ribbons on the finished products.  Mom did a variety of all six flavors (strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, spice, and banana).  She made dozens, 6-packs, 3-packs and singles.  Do you know how hard it is to predict what people are going to want when you have that many things to choose from?? She has done other craft fair type things in the past and strawberry sold out but then the next year, strawberry was all she had left…so you kind of have to just do a large variety of everything and hope for the best!

She made them in all different colors and decorations and a bunch in Christmas themes…guess which ones were my favorite??

THE SNOWMEN!! Seriously, how cute are these?!  This was the first time she has made them and I think they turned out great!  And apparently I wasn’t the only one who thought so because she completely sold out of the 24 she made!  She made them in vanilla and chocolate on top of an Oreo with a little Oreo hat!  Mom is so creative!

I think our booth turned out pretty cute this year!

Plus we were in a pretty great location!  We were right by the entrance so everyone that came in had to pass by us.  Also, our booth was on a corner which happened to line up with the line for the concession stand so people already wanting a treat would see the cake balls and buy some!

Mom sold out of almost everything she made this year which was awesome!

And here’s a fun fact for you:  Cake Balls Egg-Cetera is still taking orders for Christmas!  They make great gifts for friends, family, co-workers, and teachers and of course are perfect for parties and cookie exchanges!

If you want to place an order or want more information, you can either call/text/email me or call/text/email my mom.
