Christmas in Overview…

2 Jan

I don’t know about you, but I have had an overload of Christmas!  My extended family is huge so we always have a bunch of get-togethers so between mine and Joseph’s family Christmases, I was ready for the New Year!

Here’s an overview of what went down this holiday season:

December 15th – Joseph’s Dad’s side of the family Christmas

We visited, ate, took Chloe to the park, and flew in the helicopter

We visited, had dinner, took Chloe to the park, flew around in the helicopter, and also learned a bit more about Joseph’s ancestors.

December 21st – Neva’s Annual Christmas Party

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry. Each year since we were little, the girls have always built a pyramid...some how I was left out of it and all these random girls that I didn't know snuck in...what the heck??

December 22nd – My Dad’s side of the family Christmas

My Dad's side of the family is massive (as you can see and this isn't even everyone) so we rented a place to have Christmas this year. Great decision. We decorated the place and even had a Christmas tree topped with a Santa hat...can you spot it in this picture?? haha

December 23rd – Zoo Lights with Joseph’s Family

Jack took all the pictures Christmas Eve so I'll have to get some from him but I have these from when we went to Zoo Lights with Joseph's family on the 23rd! We had a huge group with Joseph's immediate family, aunt, uncle, 2 cousins, Chloe, and a little boy and his brother that Jeremy is mentoring.

December 24th – Joseph’s immediate family Christmas (+his mom’s side)

Jack took all the pictures Christmas Eve so I will have to get some from him but we went to Taste of Texas for some tasty steaks, then Christmas Eve church service, then back to Jack & Gwen’s house for gifts and visiting.

December 25th Morning – My immediate family Christmas

We tend to take a lot of awkward action shots in my household :-)

December 25th Afternoon – My Mom’s side of the family Christmas (with just my Grandma and Uncle and my immediate family)

My Grandma is 88 years young and is a hoot! This woman cracks me up because she says exactly what is on her mind and has zero shame. Love her to death.

December 27th – Zoo Lights with Mom, Aunt Linda, Amber, and Rylan

It was raining and freezing this night so we went indoors a lot for zoo lights. We saw a 4D 20-minute snippet of the Polar Express, rode the carousel with Ry.

We saw a 4D 20-minute snippet of the Polar Express, rode the carousel with Ry.  Rylan had a beanie that looked like a bear that he pulled over his face and rawred and it was hilarious because he couldn’t see where he was going and rawred at a random group of girls instead of us.  Cracked us (and them) up!

December 30th – My Mom’s full side of the family Christmas

The girls opened their gifts, Sadie danced with the moving Santa, Uncle Steed tried on his robe and I was Dr. Dolittle.

I’m pretty sure attending 7 Christmases (9 if you include both trips to the Zoo Lights) is enough to give anyone their Christmas Fix and then some.  I am still exhausted.  But every single one of them was great.

I am so thankful for my family and friends and I’m glad I was able to spend some sort of Christmas with them all, even if it seemed to last the whole month 🙂

I know this is a ridiculous amount of info to squeeze into one post but I figured you guys didn’t want to read 9 straight posts about Christmas, especially when it is already 2013!
