Ebates

***Apparently WordPress won’t let me use the links to Ebates because I get credit if you sign up using that link.  So if you want to sign up email me @ sweetsassyandabitsmartassy@gmail.com or leave a comment with your email address and I will send you my Refer-a-Friend link so I can get credit when you sign up through me***

Okay, people.  I have to advertise for Ebates again because I am so in love with it!

Do you do ANY online shopping?  Any at all?  Because if you do and you don’t go through Ebates first, you are losing money.

If you missed my blog post last year where I briefly wrote about Ebates or if you read it and ignored my suggestion, listen up! (or read with undivided attention)

A brief overview:

Ebates gives you money back for the online shopping that you do.  Plain and simple.

But how does it work??

1) First of all click this link and sign up.  You will automatically get a free (usually a $10 value) gift card for your choice between 3 or 4 stores (I chose Target but now when Joseph signed up he was able to choose Kohl’s so they are for stores you actually know and probably shop at)!  Boom.  Already awesome!

2) Now you are ready to do some online shopping and get free money back!  You can search through the stores by using the tab on the top left that says, “Shop All Stores.”

Ebates stores

They literally have thousands of stores to choose from!  (Groupon, Living Social, iTunes, Kohl’s, Target, Amazon, eBay, Macy’s, Victoria’s Secret, Zulily – just to name a few!)  I may or may not have started counting them in order to be able to tell you exactly how many they have on there but by the time I got to 1,000 I was only in the M’s so I will just rough estimate that it is at least 2,000 since I was half way through the alphabet…

Oh and at this page (pictured above) you can click that little heart to the right of the store to make it one of your favorites.  Ebates will notify you when the percentage cash back changes or if any coupons or good deals are going on with those stores or similar stores.

You will also notice the column that says, “Cash Back” with a percentage under it next to every store.  That is the amount of your total purchase that you will get back JUST for using Ebates!

Did you see the “Coupons” tab in the picture above?  Yeah, Ebates is so awesome that they want you to save even more money so they also have current online coupons that you can look up before you go to the store’s website in order to get the PROMO code to use at checkout.  I have saved even more money this way!

3)  Find the store that you want to shop at and click the link from the page (pictured above).  You will get a screen like this…

Ebates cash back

but obviously it will be your name, not mine…

This will direct you to the stores website.

D) Continue to shop online exactly as you normally would.  Once you check out, Ebates is notified by the online store (using your Ebates Tracking Ticket Number) automatically in order for you to receive whatever percentage cash back that was listed.  You literally have to do nothing else!

Ebates will mail you a check every quarter throughout year for the total amount of cash back you have earned from the previous quarter.

I know what you must be thinking…something like that is too good to be true and must have some sort of fee or hidden charge with it.  NOPE!!  Ebates is COMPLETELY FREE!  I have been using it for a while and have never paid a dime, in fact it is the exact opposite!

Ebates summary

Since August of last year, I have earned almost $100 for doing absolutely nothing other than shopping how I normally would (and just going through Ebates first).

Sure, it may not seem like a lot but if you consider the fact that I am now $95.49 richer for doing nothing, why wouldn’t you want to join in on the fun?  Who doesn’t love money, especially when it is free?!?

So again, CLICK HERE to sign up today and get on your way to getting free cash back!  I promise you won’t regret it!

Happy THRIFTY Online Shopping Everyone!!

Hahaha I might be almost sold on it! I’ve always used retailmenot.com for coupons though!

Seriously, Neva, do it! It’s awesome! It’s free money! I use retailmenot on occasion but I noticed Ebates has a lot of the same coupons on there too. Plus the last few times I got a code from retailmenot, it didn’t work :-/ sad day.
